Extra Bases For Stagg Grad In Pair of Games
Stagg High School graduate Brittany Hannigan had a triple and scored three runs in a 6-1 win the St. Xavier University softball team had over Robert Morris College (Ill.) in an April 25 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference game.
The win was the first of four the Cougars had to wrap up the CCAC season, giving them a 12-6 conference record and a third-place finish. Overall, St. Xavier was 23-17 during the regular season.
In a previous game, Hannigan, a freshman shortstop, hit her second homer of the season to account for the game’s lone run in a 1-0 decision against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on April 24.
