Piotrowski Allows His Team To Tap Into Title

Dave Piotrowski bowled a 685 series April 16, leading his 7-10 Tap team to a 5-points-to-2 win over 5 Darts.

With its win, Tap went past Darts for the fourth-quarter championship in the Midwest Breakers League, thus qualifying to compete for the championship roll-offs against the winners of the first three quarters (Kigas Wildcats, Wizards and Hardly Ables, respectively).

With their win April 16, 7-10 Tap improved to 36-1 for the fourth quarter, while the 5 Darts finished at 34-2.

Piotrowski, after a 190 in his first game, rolled games of 247 and 248, giving him a 685 series for the match.

Coming close to the fourth-quarter title was Mattress World, whose seven-point sweep against Strikeforce April 16 gave them a 34-3 record for the quarter.

Leading Mattress World was Chet Dziedzina with a 195/570.

Finishing just shy of the 600-series mark April 16 was Max Kasper (596) of The Dreamers. Kasper’s series included games of 215 and 205.

Several Midweek Breakers bowlers reached the 580-series mark April 16, including a duo of Hardly Ables’ rollers: Bob Vidra (588) and Bob Morris (584).

Vidra’s series included games of 211 and 200, and Morris’ high game was a 200.

Among others reaching the 580 mark was John Nacik (583) of the Wizards. Nacik started out with games of 214 and 201, before finishing with a 168.

Also reaching 580 were a duo of Jets’ rollers: Gene Preston (225/580) and Ray Czochara (202/582).
