Local Diamond Star Headed to St. Xavier
Tom Simek, a senior shortstop and pitcher at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, recently signed his letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at St. Xavier University.
Simek plans to study business next school year at St. Xavier, 3700 W. 103rd St., in Chicago.
Simek, said SXU baseball coach Mike Dooley, “will likely see playing time both in the infield and on the mound next season.”
