MVCC Holds Camps In Basketball, Volleyball
Boys and girls looking to improve their basketball game or volleyball skills are invited to register for sports camps that will be held in June in the gymnasium at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.
Bill Finn’s 2008 Summer Basketball Camp for boys and girls entering second to ninth grades will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 16 to Thursday, June 19.
Finn, Moraine Valley athletic director and former men’s basketball coach, is coaching this camp, which is intended to develop and improve fundamental basketball skills for youths of all abilities through group and individual drills, instruction and team play.
Also held June 16-19 — from noon to 2 p.m. — will be Moraine Valley’s 2008 Summer Volleyball Camp for boys and girls entering fifth to ninth grades.
Moraine Valley women’s volleyball head coach Gloria Coughlin is leading this camp. Participants will be taught fundamental volleyball skills through group work and individual attention.
The cost for each camp is $65. Participants may only register through Moraine Valley’s Athletic Department.
