C. Krypciak
Christopher S. Krypciak, 28, an Archer Heights resident, died last Friday at University of Chicago Hospital.
Mr. Krypciak was a foreman for a tree service company.
He is survived by his parents, Christopher and Cynthia; sister, Connie; brother, Charles; fiance, Michelle Vera; and a nephew.
Services were Wednesday from Richard-Midway Funeral Home to St. Richard Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.
Mary Kwiatek
Mary V. Kwiatek (nee Koziol), 92, a Garfield Ridge resident, died April 25 at the Mother Theresa Home in Lemont.
Mrs. Kwiatek was a retired office accountant. She was a member and former secretary of the St. Jane de Chantal Seniors, a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella, and a member of the Wentworth Seniors.
Survivors include her twin sister, Helen Piwowarczyk; and a nephew and three nieces.
Services were Tuesday from Richard-Midway Funeral Home to St. Jane de Chantal Church. Entombment was at Resurrection Garden Mausoleum.
Robert Ritchie
Robert E. Ritchie, 82, a Scottsdale resident, died April 24 at Christ Hospital.
Mr. Ritchie was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired truck driver. He was a member of St. Bede Holy Name Society, American Legion Evergreen Park Post 854, Knights of Columbus Cardinal Bernardin Council and the U.S.S. Diego Association.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Ritchie (nee Schwaller); sons, Robert J., Edward, Daniel, James and Michael Ritchie; daughters, Barbara Millas, Rita Uremovich, Mary Engh, Kathleen Bonderski, Susan Aevermann and Donna Breault; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Raymakers; brother, Thomas Ritchie; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were Monday from Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (Heinen & Loschetter Directors) to St. Bede the Venerable Church. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Aurora Ross
Aurora Ross (nee Nichols), 91, a 33-year resident of Garfield Ridge, died Nov. 7, 2007.
Mrs. Ross was a retired employee of Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet Bitunjac and Shirley Benke; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were Nov. 8 at Modell Funeral Home followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
William Sarna
William A. Sarna, 82, a Southwest Side resident, died Sunday at Holy Cross Hospital.
Mr. Sarna, a Navy veteran of World War II, was a manager at Canteen Corporation. He was a member of the St. Pancratius Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his daughters, Geraldine Sarna, Christine Turley and Valerie Sreniawski; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday from Szykowny Funeral Home to St. Pancratius Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.
Thomas Smith
Thomas H. Smith, 56, a former Garfield Ridge resident, died April 25 in Las Vegas.
Mr. Smith was a supervisor for a printing company.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Aaron; daughter, Amanda; sisters, Margaret Minyard and Debra Massie; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home. Interment was at Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
