Man Car-Jacked in West Elsdon
A man was car-jacked on the 3700 block of West 54th Street at 3:37 a.m. Saturday, April 12.
The victim was sitting inside a parked red four-door Pontiac when he noticed two male youths get out of a dark vehicle and approach him.
The two offenders opened both the two front doors, and one of them pointed a gun at the victim and ordered him out of the vehicle. The two youths then got inside the victim’s vehicle and yelled at the three other men still inside the dark vehicle before driving away.
Man Robs 7-Eleven with Butcher Knife
The 7-Eleven at 4353 W. 55th St. was robbed at 6:19 a.m. Sunday, April 13.
A man entered the store wearing a mask/white sheet over his head, and he approached the clerk displaying a 12-inch butcher knife and demanded money. The offender jumped over the counter and grabbed some money that fell to the floor. The offender then fled east on 55th Street.
He was described as white, about 25 years old, 5’8 and 140 pounds. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark jeans.
Man Inside Club Shot in the Rear
A man was shot at Sko’s, 6810 S. Western Ave., at 4:58 a.m. Saturday, April 12.
The victim, after hearing three or four shots fired, felt a sharp pain in his right buttocks. He ran to his home, called an ambulance, and was transported to Christ Hospital.
The shooter was described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, between 5’8 and 5’10 and about 210 pounds. He was wearing a green and brown polo shirt and a blue jacket.
Man with Gun Robs Dollar Store
Family Dollar, 2610 W. 71st St., was robbed at 1:53 p.m. April 10.
A man entered the store and approached the cashier displaying a blue steel revolver. He then pointed the gun at the victim’s head and demanded everything she had. The victim gave $250 to the offender, who fled east on 71st Street.
He was described as black, between 25 and 35 years old, 5’9 and 135 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, black coat with a hood and white writing on the side, black pants and black gloves.
Group of Teens Rob Gas Station
The Citgo gas station at 7700 S. Kedzie Ave. was robbed by a group of 10 teens at about 9:35 p.m. Thursday, April 10.
According to police, an employee saw 10 teenagers place various candy items into their pockets. When the employee came to stop them, one of the teens lifted his shirt and showed a handgun he had in his waistband.
The teen with the gun was described as black, between 15 and 19 years old. He was wearing a black skull cap, black jacket and black Nike’s.
