Women's Club Meetings

The St. Fabian Women’s Club is hosting the interactive production of “A Dinner Party To Die For” Saturday, April 19 at the parish’s Kash Hall, 8300 S. Thomas Ave., Bridgeview.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. A $35 donation includes dinner, which is served at 7:30 p.m.

The Trinity Lutheran Church Women will hold a Rummage Sale from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 25 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the church, 9701 S. Brandt Ave., Oak Lawn.

On April 26, a $3 per bag sale will be held (all-you-can-stuff into a brown bag) from noon until 3 p.m. Household items, jewelry, clothing for all ages (some new and nearly new), including books and toys.

Proceeds from this event are put into a Benevolence  Fund and donated to various charitable organizations.

The Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Women will hold its annual Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 24 at the church, 10400 S. Kostner Ave., Oak Lawn.

Sale items include clothing, household goods, games and toys. A bake sale and refreshments will also be offered. A $ 3 per bag special will be offered. Parking is available.

Women will receive “Tender Loving Care” from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9701 S. Brandt Ave., Oak Lawn.

A mini-massage, manicure, hairstyle or cut, pedicure, eyebrow shaping, reflexology and relaxation will be offered to local women. Shopping will be included.

Women who register will pay for the services at a reduced rate. More information can be obtained by calling the church office, (708) 422-0193.

The St. Nicholas Ladies’ Philoptochos Society will be preparing homemade Greek pastries and other delicacies in preparation for the observance of Orthodox Easter on Sunday, April 27.

The women will be making baklava, Kourambiedes, Koulouria and melomakaroma, as well as cheese and spinach triangles and pastitsio. St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is located at 10301 S. Kolmar Ave, Oak Lawn.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 735 will hold its 21st Annual Card and Bunco Party will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the hall, 6050 S. Harlem Ave. Summit.

A $3.50 donation will be accepted and includes prizes, raffles and a sorry game. Free coffee and dessert will be offered. Lunch is $2.50.

Guests are welcome.

The Christian Women’s Fellowship of Hometown Christian Church invites men and women to their annual Spring Salad Luncheon beginning at noon Wednesday, April 16 at the church, 4340 W. 87th St., Chicago.

An assortment of salads and desserts will be offered for lunch. The fee is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. The proceeds will be used for mission projects.

Argo-Summit, Bedford Park Woman’s Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 at the Bedford Park Community Building, 6700 S. 78th Ave., Bedford Park.

Business will include the election of officers for the 2008-09 club year and final details for the upcoming Touch-A-Truck Safety Seat Check to be held Saturday, April 26.

Dr. Vilijia Kerelis will be on hand to discuss alternative medicine.
