This weekend my friend Pat and I will be celebrating her birthday at the musical, “Jersey Boys.” Jersey Boys is showing at the LaSalle Bank Theatre and is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
They were responsible for musical hits such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” I bought the tickets about six months ago and am quite excited. I will fill you in on the show next week.
March 22 was one of the happiest days of my life. As my husband and I drove past 58th and Pulaski, I let out a scream. Yes, the soft-serve ice cream parlor is once again open. The opening of the ice cream parlor has always been a sure sign of spring.
I was worried that it would close, what with that “For Sale” sign posted all winter. That little ice cream shack has been a pretty big part of my life through all the past summers. I know I will visit it quite often this summer to for my strawberry sundaes.
