Women's Club Meetings
Oak Lawn residents who are new parents can receive a free packet of information and gifts to share with their new baby from the Oak Lawn Library, 5300 W. 95th St.
To qualify, parents must bring in proof of Oak Lawn residency and sign-up their child for a first library card by age 1 or younger. Then, parents can pick up a newborn packet in the Youth Services Department.

The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society’s Annual Spring Rummage Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the church, 10301 S. Kostner Ave., Oak Lawn.
Items available include clothing, household items, jewelry and “nearly new” items will be found. Pizza slices will be sold for $1 each, along with bake sale items.

Argo-Summit, Bedford Park Woman’s Club will host its Annual Essay Awards Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 in the Bedford Park Community Building, 6700 S. 78th Ave., Bedford Park.
Because of spring break for schools, the awards night will not be held at the normal meeting night. The refreshment committee has requested that all members help bring goodies that evening.
In other news, the Brook Park School’s Spring Consignment Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5 at the school, 30th Street and Raymond Avenue, LaGrange Park.

The General Federation of Women’s Club will host the 11th Annual Blue Ribbon Luncheon and Fashion Show Saturday, April 12 at the Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon is served at 12:30 p.m. The fashion show begins at 1:30 p.m. The registration fee is $35.
