Burbank Resient L. Di Giacomo Dies
Lena Di Giacomo (nee Mazza), a Burbank resident, died March 20 at her home.

Mrs. Di Giacomo was a teacher at a daycare center.

Survivors include her  daughters, Lu Smuskiewicz and Laura L. Gron; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Salvatore “Sam” Mazza; and two nephews.

Services were March 25 from Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium to St. Louis de Montfort Church. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery.

Thomas Matza
Thomas J. Matza, 74, a resident of Burbank, died March 22 in Joliet.

Mr. Matza, a military veteran, was an alarm installer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Daniel Dowling Council and American Legion McKinley Post 231.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; son, Allen; daughter, Roseanne Bodinet; many grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings, Hermoine, Robert, Charles, and Ester; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday at the Hann Funeral Home. Interment was private.
