It is interesting to note that world famous drummer Gene Krupa was born in 1909, which is the same year that Prospect Federal Bank was established. The Golden Eagle Club’s 27th anniversary celebration luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 7 at the Mayfield Banquet Hall, 6072 S. Archer Ave.
Reservations for the luncheon and entertainment, along with door prizes and many nice surprises, are being accepted through Tuesday, April 29.
The cost for members still remains at $6 per person (which is not refundable). Those who are unable to attend may register for special non-attendee prizes. For more information, call (Tuesdays or Thursdays) your local club representative or Stasy Korres at (708) 361-8000.

I’m sure you do not need any reminder to file your Federal Income Tax Return even if you don’t usually need to do so as to be eligible to receive the “2008 Stimulus Payment” to be paid by the U.S. Treasury.
As of last Saturday, I still have not had my first free transit ride because my Senior “smart” card (hard plastic) is not that smart. It has cracked and I cannot place it inside the slot, and therefore it does not register on the round instrument. I hope this problem is resolved soon so I can enjoy the privilege. Riders with the light plasticized card do not have this problem.
