
Golden Eagles To Host Impressionist Art Talk
Cheryl Ann Sprano, an artist who concentrates on impressionist art, will discuss her works at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at the next Golden Eagles Club meeting at the Balzekas Museum of Art, 6500 S. Pulaski Road.
A question and answer period will follow the meeting. Light refreshments will be served.
Sprano’s works will continue to be exhibited this month at Prospect Federal Savings Bank, 11139 S. Harlem Ave., Worth.
Sprano is originally from Cicero, where she sold her first painting at 18 years of age.
She then attended Columbia College and worked at the Academy of Arts in Chicago. She spent a decade in New York City, where she taught art for five years in public schools and then returned to the Chicago area.
Sprano received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University. She is currently a resident of La Grange Park, where she is member of the LaGrange Art League as well as the Chicago Pastel Painters’ group.
Sprano has exhibited her works at various art galleries in Illinois and Michigan and participated in juried shows where she’s received first and second prizes for her work.
