Brother McNamara Of St. Laurence Dies
Brother Robert A. McNamara, CFC, 73, who was a longtime staff member at St. Laurence High School, died March 4 at Manor Care in Oak Lawn.
Br. McNamara, a member of the Christian Brothers for 50 years, served in many roles at St. Laurence until his retirement in 2003.
He is survived by his brother, James; sister, Mary; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were March 7 at the St. Laurence Chapel. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Robert Golen
Robert J. Golen, 65, died March 3 at the Bridgeview home he lived at for many years.
Mr. Golen, an Army veteran, was a retired shipper and packer with Electro Motive.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (nee Gorecki); daughters, Roxanne Dyers and Melanie Rhatigan; one grandson; and brother, Thaddeus Golen.
Services were March 6 at Hann Funeral Home. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.
Raymond John
Raymond W. John, 81, a Burbank resident, died Feb. 29 at Christ Hospital.
Mr. John, a World War II Navy veteran, worked in the parts department of an automobile dealership.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley John (nee Cameron); sons, Dennis and Gary John; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and and nephews.
Services were March 4 at Lawn Funeral Home. Interment was private.
Lynn Kane
Lynn Ellen Kane (nee Schlee), 77, an Oak Lawn resident, died March 3 in Romeoville.
Mrs. Kane was a supervisor for Turtle Wax.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Kane-Beracasa, Margaret Kane-Boozer and Susan Kane; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Loretta Schlee; brother, Patrick Schlee; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were Friday from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home to St. Bede the Venerable Church. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery.
Thomas Sibrava
Thomas J. Sibrava, 62, a Bridgeview resident, died Feb. 29 at home.
Mr. Sibrava was a machine operator for 3M Co.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Sibrava (nee Balkey); sons, Ronald and Tony Sibrava; daughters, Traci and April Sibrava; four grandchildren; mother, Anne Posh; sister, Karen Michaelowski; brother, Donald Posh; and a niece and nephew.
Services were March 5 at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home. Interment was private.
