Home Break-in
Two offenders forced their way into a home in the 7700 block of Menard Avenue and stole $100 and some credit cards from the 86-year-old victim, according to police
The incident reportedly took place at 12:33 a.m. Feb. 15. The victim received minor injuries which were treated by Burbank Paramedics. The offenders were described as male whites, between the ages of 17 to 19.
Offender one is described as being about 5’6, 165 pounds and offender two is describes as being about 5’8 and 185 pounds Both subjects were wearing dark clothing. Police said this appears to be an isolated incident.
Charged With Possession
Laura M. Swenson, 46, 7842 S. Newland Ave., Burbank, was charged Jan. 31 with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug equipment, and possession of cannabis following a search warrant at the listed residence.
Swenson is being held on a $350,000 bond awaiting trail.
Battery Charge
Leland E. Sorensen, 35, 7909 S. Lamon Ave., Burbank, was charged with simple battery to a police officer and public intoxication following an incident that occurred on the listed date at 4:40 a.m. Feb. 8 in the 6600 block of West 79th Street.
Sorensen spat in the face of the officer while the officer was arresting him for allaeged public intoxication. Sorenson has a pending court date of March 12.
DUI
Hernan P. Guallpa, 30, 4418 N. Tripp, Chicago, has been charged with DUI, speeding and disobeying a stop sign following a traffic stop at 3 a.m. Feb. 2.
Guallpa has a pending court date of March 12..
Accident and DUI
Walter A. Noah, 47, 4059 S. 58th S., Chicago, has was charged with DUI, a blood alcohol content over the legal limit, and disobeying a stop sign at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 2 following an accident.
No injuries were reported a result of the accident. Noah has a pending court date of March 21.
Possession Of Stolen Car
Balios Antunez, 24, 1636 S. 61st Ct., Cicero, has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving on a revoked DL, criminal damage to property, and illegal transportation of alcohol, following a traffic stop at 12:20 p.m. Feb. 4.
Antunez was held for a bond hearing and was issued a $50,000 D bond.
Criminal Trespass
Andrezj J. Galas, 28, 8733 S. Tulley Ave., Oak Lawn, and Krzysztof P. Galas, 31, 5613 W. 88th St., Oak Lawn, were both charged with criminal trespass to property Feb. 8 after police said they were found in a new house under construction in the 8500 block of South Meade Avenue.
A day earlier, over 250 pieces of lumber were stolen from the premises. A court date has been set for March 21.
Reskless Driving
Joseph W. Dore, 21, 8428 S. Latrobe Ave., Burbank, has been charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and no insurance following a traffic accident at 11:25 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 8000 block of Latrobe Avenue.
There were no injuries as a result of the accident. A court date has been set for March 31.
Speeding, DUI
Erald Groballi, 18 , 7749 W. Joliet Road, Tinley Park, was charged with DUI, having a blood alcohol intake over the legal limit, no insurance and speeding following a traffic stop at about 3:40 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 6000 block of 87th Street.
A court date has been set for March 12.
No Headlights, Open Alcohol
Nicholas M. Latona, 23, 7835 S. Blazer, Justice, has been charged with DUI, open alcohol, no head lights, and failure to reduce speed Feb. 14 to avoid an accident.
On the listed date at 2:00 AM Latona struck the rear of another vehicle. Latona received minor injuries as a result of the accident. He has a pending court date of March 21.
Possession Charge
William H. Martin 28, 4558 S. LaCrosse Ave., Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and traffic offenses following a stop Feb. 19 in the 8400 block of S. Cicero Avenue.
It was also discovered that Martin had a warrant for his arrest from a previous drug charge. A bond amount was set at $100,000.
Burglary
Ronnie L. Esterling 21, 7723 S. Shore Drive Apt. 315, Chicago, was charged with two counts of residential burglary and one count of attempted residential burglary following his arrest Feb. 21 as police responded to a burglary in the 8300 block of South Lawler Avenue.
Police located Esterling, who fit the description in the 8200 block of Lawler Avenue. Esterling was identified by witnesses and taken into custody. Evidence and a subsequent statement implicated Esterling in two other residential burglaries in Burbank.
Esterling was issued a $150,000 d-bond.
One-car Accident, DUI
Jorge O. Ramos, 22, 1326 W. 18th Place, Chicago, was charged with DUI, a blood alcohol intake of over .08, suspended driver’s license and no insurance following a one-car accident Feb. 23 in the parking lot of the Oliver Garden Restaurant at 4801 W. 77th St.
The vehicle was found stuck on a snow bank with Ramos sleeping behind the wheel with the engine running and in gear at 8:20 a.m., police said. Ramos has a court date of March 31.
