Fifth Third Coming To ‘Bankers Row’
The corner of 7200 W. 87th St. in Bridgeview has remained vacant for awhile.
Many can remember JC Georges Restaurant, which made way for Koozy’s Cafe, which closed more than a year ago.
But a new addition, Fifth Third Bank, will be coming soon to the corner, which will give even more credence to Harlem Avenue being dubbed “bankers row.”
At the Nov. 4 village board meeting, Bridgeview trustees granted an extension of time, 180 days, for paperwork and permits to be approved by the courts in order to break ground at the new location.
The new Fifth Third Bank location will include drive-thru lanes.
“It is a beautiful corner” said Trustee Claudette Struzik, adding that the plans will further beautify the corner.
Plans on when the construction will begin have not been finalized.
